Outstanding Contribution Award
(up to three awards per year)
This award recognizes outstanding contribution to higher education. The contribution can take many forms; for example, 1) the advancement of knowledge or good practice in a particular field (e.g. taxation, investments, procurement, HR, etc.); 2) exceptional volunteerism to CAUBO; 3) exceptional involvement in a local, regional, national or professional association. There is no requirement for explicit linkage to CAUBO activities although the individual must have demonstrated support for CAUBO.
Criteria
- the individual is perceived by peers as a higher education specialist in his or her field (i.e. people turn to this individual for assistance, interpretations, etc); OR
- the individual has carried out research and made a presentation on an issue of importance (i.e. local, regional, national, or professional) which served as foundation for change/strategic direction; OR
- the individual led a major initiative within her/her university which is considered a best practice by other universities; the individual has presented the initiative at a higher education administration forum; OR
- the individual has contributed above-average time, effort, energy to CAUBO and its activities
- AND the individual has demonstrated support for CAUBO and its goals.
