2010 Quality & Productivity Awards

Dear Colleagues:

Here is the application form for the Quality and Productivity Awards Program for 2010. We encourage our member institutions to submit worthwhile projects by the March 5, 2010 deadline.

We are very pleased that Budget Rent a Car and Macquarie Equipment Finance Ltd. are continuing as sponsors.  Information on our sponsors may be found by following the links on the "Our Partners" page on the CAUBO web site.

The Quality and Productivity Awards program offers a great opportunity to recognize and honour the exceptional work of staff at Canadian universities and to share effective practices across North America.

APPLICATION PROCEDURES

A separate application form must be completed for each entry and must be submitted in the indicated fashion by March 5, 2010. Please take note of the requirements for the supporting documentation.

The application form consists of an information page, an abstract of the project and a questionnaire related to the evaluation criteria as they apply to the submission.

The information page must be signed, the abstract not exceed 350 words and each of the questions on the criteria answered in one paragraph.

Although not required to do so, the applicant may include a more complete description of the project and supporting information, including audio-visual materials, manuals and other printed documents, and Internet site references for consideration by the Selection Committee. The Selection Committee may, at its discretion, consider part or all such additional information.

To be eligible for assessment by the selection committee, the following must be mailed to CAUBO:

  • one signed hard copy of the application form
  • one electronic copy (Word or PDF format) supplied on a CD of the full application form (information page, abstract and questionnaire)
  • 8 copies of any supporting documentation

CAUBO may, at its discretion, include part or all of the application form and supporting documentation on its web site in the secured section reserved for best practices i.e. CAUBO Quality and Productivity Awards web page.
