The CAUBO Customs Guide is provided to member Universities with the intent to foster a better understanding of trade and regulatory issues which specifically affect the University sector.
This guide is written to assist individuals who have the direct responsibility for the Customs matters of their respective institutions. Particular attention should be paid to the contents of the first chapters within each section where legal obligations, verification and/ or audit requirements, and related penalties under the Administrative Monetary Penalty Systems (AMPS) are outlined. A more detailed overview of the AMPS is provided under Section I of Chapter 3.
