Committee Information: Mission Statement

Terms of Reference

Mandate

The mandate of the Human Resources Committee is to identify the needs of the HR professionals and provide educational programs, special activities, best practices and general services to support the work of the members in their institution.

Responsibilities and Activities

2.1 Sponsor initiatives that assemble and distribute information of common interest (eg. collective bargaining, early retirement programs, performance management systems).

2.2 Sponsor workshops, seminars and other events that respond to identified professional development needs, including ongoing collaboration with the Centre for Higher Education Research and Development (CHERD) at The University of Manitoba.

2.3 Maintain contacts with other regional and national groups, including AUCC and the Vice-Presidents Academic group, with the intent to possibly undertake joint projects.

2.4 Provide advice and assistance regarding the Human Resources track at the annual CAUBO Conference.
