FINANCIAL REPORTING GUIDE

This guide addresses accounting principles and standards of disclosure for use in the published annual financial statements of Canadian universities. It also provides guidance on the implementation of the new CICA standards for Not for Profit Organizations.

The Finance committee and the Taxes committee of CAUBO have been reviewing and updating three important CAUBO Guides:

The Financial Reporting Guide (Financial Reporting Committee)
The Income Tax Guide (Taxes Committee)
The GST Guide (Taxes Committee)

In the course of this work, we came across a product developed by CICA and Ernst & Young, which members of both committees found very helpful not only as a location to easily access the CAUBO guides, but also as a single source of integrated information. Ultimately, both committees recommended to the CAUBO Board that the three CAUBO guides be located on the KNOTIA website and that all CAUBO members be encouraged to subscribe.

CAUBO regular members and Affiliate Members have complimentary access to the CAUBO guides.  If you do NOT have a CAUBO.Knotia.ca user profile to access the complimentary CAUBO guides, please contact Paul Kneebone, CICA Information Resources Consultant, at paul.kneebone@accountingresources.ca or 1-866-430-8623.
