What Are "University" Hotel Rates?
"University" rates are special lodging rates offered to faculty and staff of CAUBO/ACPAU (Canadian Association of University Business Officers) member universities and colleges throughout Canada. Some discounts are as high as 50% off the regular rate.
When Are These Rates In Effect?
Unless otherwise noted, the "University" hotel rates are in effect for the time period as posted. Typically, this would be a calendar year.
How Do I Access These Rates?
To make a reservation and qualify for the "University" rate, either you or your travel agent should ask for The "University" Rate for Canadian Universities & Colleges or if one exists, quote the Contract Identification number listed with that particular hotel.
What Else Should I Know?
The hotel and motel rates listed are "net" and are not commissionable to travel agents, although agents may book the hotels on your behalf.
The hotel and motel rates listed are not applicable for groups or conferences, which must be negotiated separately with the hotel.
The hotel and motel rates listed are available for personal travel where indicated by the hotel listing. However, hotels may require University identification upon arrival.
The hotels listed may offer a promotional or special rate (such as a weekend rate) that may be lower than the "University" rate posted. Please feel free to ask for the best rate possible.
Where possible, the CAA (Canadian Automobile Association) diamond quality rating for a hotel has been posted.
