Each year, CAUBO offers a professional development bursary to honour the memory of Pat Hibbitts, a long-standing member, contributor, and supporter of continuing education.
The bursary provides a complimentary conference registration to one institutional member, including access to a functional seminar, at the 2026 CAUBO Annual Conference, taking place from June 15 – 17, 2026 in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador.
To be eligible, the member must:
- be currently employed at a CAUBO member university in one of the following functional areas: Academic Administration, Facilities Management, Finance, Human Resources, Internal Audit, Procurement, Risk Management, Taxes, or Treasury and Investment;
- have been working for three years or less in a university environment at time of application;
- not have attended a CAUBO annual conference before.
Applications may be self-submitted or submitted by a supervisor; however, all applications must be signed by the member’s supervisor to ensure they have approval to attend the conference.
One recipient will be selected by lottery from all eligible submissions. The deadline to apply for the bursary is February 6, 2026. Complete the online application form today!
